A community focused co-working space in the Cotswolds.
We were thrilled to work with Lifework communities on the interior design of their first workspace at Hartley Farm near Bath.
Lifework’s aim is to create co-working spaces that provide a balance between work and home and benefit the community, local economy and the environment.
The brief was to create a flexible space that allowed for a range of working environments and had capacity for social events and workshops. We carefully considered the plan layout and created clear zones to ensure a practical and comfortable environment for all users. The lighting design defines each zone and makes a large open space feel intimate and welcoming.
Our aim was to create a space that was relaxed yet professional with a home from home feel. We embraced the utilitarian barn building and contrasted the warm and textural timber clad ceiling and osb wall cladding with bold colour and pattern brought in with a carefully selected colour palette, furniture and textiles.
Lifework was a finalist for the Mixology project of the year award for a sub 5k sq ft workplace interior and was nominated for a Bath Life sustainability award in 2023.
